Do you believe? We do, and so do our friends at the South Devon Railway, which is why we are proud to be visiting an exciting, magical experience like no other. This Christmas, join us as THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride comes to South Devon Railway!

Here they theatrically re-create the 2004 motion picture for you and your family. Dive into the sights, sounds and intrigue of this classic children’s tale.

Prepare for a truly spectacular Christmas experience, surrounded by the magic and wonder of the season. In the distance, out in the cold night, to much excitement, you hear the familiar whistle of the steam train that is THE POLAR EXPRESS™!

The itinerary
A finalised itinerary is provided 2-4 weeks before travel, but here's an insight to give you an idea!
Pickup Points
Merthyr Tydfil College > Aberdare Sobell Centre > Mountain Ash Cynon Valley Bowls > Pontypridd Catherine Street > Cardiff Gate Services > Newport Train Station

How does our daytrip look?
The coach will pick you up from your chosen pickup point where you'll be welcomed on board by your driver and Mynt Travel rep for the day. We'll watch Christmas films on the journey down and back and there'll be plenty of free snacks!
​
When we arrive at the station you'll have time to look around the gift shop, grab some food and drink and take part in the activities at the station. The time will then come to head out onto the platform as we watch The Polar Express train steam into the station. You'll then hop on board for the 1 hour 10 minute adventure where you'll get a visit from the conductor, his chefs and Santa! you'll also get a cookie and a cup of hot chocolate.

It's then back to the coach for the journey home, with more snacks, films, and memories to last a lifetime!

If booking for infants under 2 years old who can travel on your lap on the coach and/or train, please contact us first.
​Both Alex and the driver were so friendly. We were well informed about the day, before hand and throughout the day. There was movies and snacks on board to help pass the journey for the children. I had 3 older girls with me aged between 9 and 15 they had the most magical time. Alex was constantly making sure everyone had what they needed and they was okay. There was comfort breaks on way there and back at services. I would 100 percent travel with them again and have recommended them to lots of people.
