Do you believe? We do, and so do our friends at the South Devon Railway, which is why we are proud to be visiting an exciting magical experience like no other. This Christmas, join us as THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride comes to South Devon Railway!
​
Here they theatrically re-create the 2004 motion picture for you and your family. Dive into the sights, sounds and intrigue of this classic children’s tale.
​
Prepare for a truly spectacular Christmas experience, surrounded by the magic and wonder of the season. In the distance, out in the cold night, to much excitement, you hear the familiar whistle of the steam train that is THE POLAR EXPRESS™!

Route 1 pickups
These pickup locations are available on trips marked below as Route 1.

A feeder minibus will connect to the coach at Pontypridd from Treorchy, Tonypandy, Ton Pentre, Tonypandy, Porth and Trehafod.
Route 2 pickups
These pickup locations are available on trips marked below as Route 2. Please note that Route 2 does sometimes use a feeder service.

Had a brilliant day at the Polar Express on Sunday.
Everything was great from start to finish the bus journey there going up and back was great went really quick. It was a well organised trip.

Alex was great plenty of goodies on the bus we would definitely recommend and we will be booking again next year Thankyou so much for making this trip so great.

Alex was so attentive and excited to speak with all of the children and grown ups. He was available at every point when contacted.
The bus was on time, good provision for stops for refreshments and toilet breaks although these were also provided on board the coach.
The Polar Express itself was juist magical! We had a wonderful day with Mynt and we can't wait to go on more trips with them!

2025 dates coming soon!
Saturday
Depart South Wales on Saturday morning and head to Paignton Zoo for an afternoon exploring it's collection of about 2,000 animals representing nearly 300 species, and about 1,600 different species of plant.
​​
We'll then head to the hotel for the evening.
​​
Sunday
After breakfast we'll head to the South Devon Railway for The Polar Express! Meet Santa, see if you're on the naughty or nice list, and enjoy a magical time.
​​
We'll then head to Exeter for lunch and it's famous Christmas Market before heading back to Wales in the afternoon.
​​
