Due to the extreme weather conditions in Lapland, we generally don’t recommend these holidays for infants or children under the age of three since a great deal of time will be spent outdoors in Arctic conditions. If you choose to travel with an infant you may have to miss out on some activities if advised by the staff in resort.

If you'd still like to travel with an infant then infants aged 0-2 are charged at £80 on short breaks and £40 on daybreaks, over the age of 2 they're charged a full child price. In addition, we are unable to guarantee provision of thermal suits and boots for infants so these will need to be provided by you.

Please also note that there are no baby changing facilities at any of the locations.

Ultimately, you know your own abilities better than anyone else, and so we'll never give a definitive 'yes' or 'no' answer to this question. We're more than happy to have a conversation with you surrounding your individual needs and how they can be accommodated so please get in touch.

We'd recommend you take into consideration that these holidays are in very remote, wilderness locations where snow can be up to four feet deep and paths are not always cleared, making the terrain difficult to traverse. It's also very cold with temperatures dipping as low as -30°C.

Not all of the activities would be accessible as some require travelling through the snow to get to.

With regards to those who are pregnant, our snowmobile and husky safaris would not be suitable due to the vibrations of uneven tracks and the exhaust fumes of the snowmobiles, and you should always consult a doctor before travelling.

Unfortunately the majority of airports in Lapland including Enontekio & Ivalo do not have special assistance facilities or airbridges so you must be able to go up and down the steps to/from the aircraft.

Always keep in mind that temperatures can reach as low as -40˚C and you'll spend a lot of time outdoors in the snow. You should therefore bring adequate clothing for this weather. Thermal outfits are provided but you'll still want warm items of clothing to wear underneath, such as long-sleeve thermal tops & leggings, a sweater/jumper, warm socks, gloves and a hat.

Thermal outfit and boot hire is provided on all Lapland holidays, but the largest suit size is a 48” chest or approximately size 20 (women’s UK sizing); the smallest suit size is 34” in height.

The largest shoe size is 12 (UK) and the smallest shoe size is 8 (UK child).

Should you be outside of these sizes you will need to purchase their own winter gear for use in Lapland. Thermal suits and boots should be worn at all times when outdoors in Lapland.

If you decide to bring your own thermal suit and boots, it is your responsibility to ensure they are suitable for Arctic conditions.

You must have travel insurance to travel and we recommend you ensure that your insurance covers winter sports and all activities that you'll be participating in, for example most insurance policies will charge a premium for Snowmobile activities.

To cover you for loss of deposit should you need to cancel your trip after booking we recommend that you take out travel insurance from the moment you book.

A valid passport is necessary to travel to Lapland and it is your responsibility to ensure that your passport is valid for travel. We cannot accept responsibility if you're denied boarding.
